I think I know why I stopped trying to fix it when it first came up. I bought this solely on you recommendation, Psyko, so if this destroys my PC, I know who to chase around the globe with my unjustified wrath. On the other hand, you probably just helped some teenager get more money for weed.. :)

Psyko (and myself) would have preferred you get the free one but congrats on nuking the little bugger :)

Why not just use the free download?

Free things are never any good. I used to get free food at the local bar, now it is just drinks. The minute I order something good, it is no longer free. You see my point, I trust. (You may disagree if you wish.) :)

Besides. I had a coupon, so it is not like it cost me anything.. :?

The free MB is the one and only exception to this rule though :)

Glad you are disease free now though hey this could really raise the value of your GW account and also your Match.com account.

That's "an eye for an eye", not "try before you buy"... Why do I get the feeling this is something Teal'c would mistake? :P

Well since you're on my real FB, I don't think that would be too difficult for you to accomplish.

It would not, but I would never.
You should ignore the well-dressed man who will show up in your life in oh, maybe a day or two. Christian is a bit over the top.

Why ignore what I can use to my benefit?

OSX? Have you ever been at a red flag event? Apple has HORRIBLE security, and when they do see an issue it takes them days to fix. MS usually has a fix out within hours.

Reason being a MS venerability goes for $10k (usd)
Apple while going up is only around $2-600.
Linux ... well its very rare that i see people pay for one.

... and the most venerable part of a system.... is reading this ....

I agree on several issues with the former McAfee tech that wrote this OpEd

The generalization that people with money buy Apples and are less likely to be targetted by hackers is very LOL. Malware economics is a funny discussion all around.

That actually seems to have done the trick. :-k MalwareBytes did not get anywhere with it.

Incidentally, this has sped up my internet by a factor 10. No more endless waiting for that **Filtered** Google.
