Mad Men

Anyone watched it? Got a good review on IMDB but my GF and i watched the first 2eps and it really didn't grab us. Anyone seen it and can say if it gets better or should we just move on?

I would agree with ASJ. It is well written especially for the era it represents. A big part of the show is trying to create the right mood for all the outdated lulz. It's more to watch them try and pull it off even if they fail at times.

Speaking as someone who was there during the '70s lulz' (or the '20s lulz', hell, I was loling all though the 40s..) they do a damned good job at being hilarious. Even if sometimes you can just tell the joke was forced by someone who was never there.
If you are under 30, I do recommend watching this with either a (decade) older brother or your father. Hilarity ensues (laughing is infectious, so you should be set for a while). Good stuff, this.

wanna bump this as well.. finally i am on season 6 and damn what a show.. first 2 seasons it didnt grab me much but with so many twists and turns.. things changed and i loved and damn that don draper character well... its AWESOME....
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
