Just curious how many people out there were actually around for this... who remembers when growth was limited to your recruitment link because you got more units in a day from friends clicking your recruitment link than you did from your unit production?....


(this probably will only be remembered by those who started playing in the first year of gameplay...)

ROFL! Damn, why didn't I think of that.... I did send it across the University server to all my friends. That's when we learned all computers on campas ran off the same IP, those that clicked got "you have already clicked this link today..." or whatever that message was (I don't remember the exact wording after 8 years....)

We had one of those clickmaster websites back in early 05 that tracked how many times you clicked people's links and were clicked by other people. Was a good way to see who was actively helping the alliance and who wasn't.

no, must have been early 05, (I started in Oct 05).. do remember being told not to build UP higher that 10,000 to ascended though.. took me a year to hit the 1mil army size ( I didn't have the support thingy you needed to trade)

I remember that for both main and Quantum!

One of them links got me into the game. BRING IT BACK TO BEING USEFUL!

LOL I didn't join until sept 05 It was still useful until after new years... when I joined ascended had just been brought out so it was being used to help rebuild people too.... and as mathlord said, the click sites were used for quantum and main for alliances to help each other out

Being back ingame is pulling up alot of nostalgia for "the good old days" just thought I'd see how many were still around from the beginning

that what got me into the game clicking on someones in the gate worlds forums crazy how time flies so much has changed since those days

I remember when we had it as a must in omega, to click eachother. We could also check if people would click it.
