Hi im Liquida

Hi all I am Liquida and I have just started playing SGW, I am a newbie to put it boldly thought I have managed to climb into the top 700 in the rankings in a matter of 3-4 days (i'm not sure if that is rubbish or good). I have noticed that most people situated around me in the rankings board are part of an alliance and have all ascended bar one or two. I hope perhaps someone could give me some feedback and info so I can progress further in the game and perhaps join an alliance along the way.
