Cant believe i am actually jumping into newgrounds and am ascending to lvl 20, at what point does it start to become a pain and you have to build to ascend?

If you haven't ascended at all yet... Probably a good way to start would be to stay unascended (cos you start with 1 or 2k UP) and put all your UU into MS and buy some MS techs and get someone to send you naq for a week or so.
That would most likely allow you to do your first 10 or so ascensions super fast
