what was i supposed to do?

i played ascended very casually, logging in every day a few times to bank and that's about it. my defense was pretty high (top 20 or so) so i spent my money raising UP and income. i never learned how to play the game properly and there are lots of stuff i didn't quit understand which is why im asking now. tldr my account was reduced to close to nothing today by some random guy so i vacationed my account and won't be logging on again.
this guy attacked me for like 2 pages, getting defended each time until he finally destroyed my weapons and then destroyed almost all supra custodian planets. was i supposed to have insurance on at all times? i wasn't getting attacked much so i didn't think it was necessary. what are your thoughts?

I would say don't get mad get even. It is rather easy to take down a def with a much lower strike using DESTROY. It is also fairly easy to observe someone's activity habits. You really want to try and go at them while war/war setting is still possible but it's not entirely necessary.
You need to get massed anyways for achievement titles. Maybe put a bounty on the guy I'm sure you can find someone to rail him good and hard for months for a relatively small amount of naq or DMU.

And always have realm alert status set to 'critical'.
It costs you a load of income, but you make much more from farming anyway.

It was most likely Rambo in ascended. He thinks he is the DB's but is a turd stain who has to mass accounts to get anything but will not progress as he will never win a tourney.
And I will be keeping an eye on those who help himas well (as will Ricos)

Best advice so far, I think. Get a costume, rap a bit, and beat your enemy in the long run.

Your not the first he take down, if its Rambo. i have alot of friends with the same problem.
Well, its not a problem rly, its how the game is. Use him to gain experience on how to mass. (i know i will) you will get him intime + you learn how to make ppl bow down too you like the GoD you and everyone else have potential to be.
