prizes for achievements

ok so this is a bit out there

but is it possible that we have a total number of killed units already on command page

what about an achievements page for things like
- who steals the most naq that day/week
- highest number of raided units
- turns used

things like above and prizes can be given out naq/points for ascended

we already have war experience so the calculations are already there its just a case of linking them to another page for people to see who is active and who is not

id like thoughs and ideas guys if anybody thinks this would be a good idea

I know there is already a similar thing on ascended but this would be more about how active players actually are in main game

I like it,

ascended already makes use of this idea (sorta). It would be a nice addition to main, I think.

So you want Main to have what Ascended has? :) I am all for it regarding this bit. The achievement system Ascended uses is nothing short of **Filtered** brilliant.

makes me wonder why it hasnt been implemented sooner. it also helps motivate new players to build up by giving them little benchmarks to aim for along the way aswell as give the entire server a general idea of what the top accounts have so they have something to aim towards.

and for those that moan about having their details published without spying etc, it could be done so there is an average of the top 10 cov levels / ms's etc

Why? Simple. Ascended and NewGrounds function - in part - as development environments for Main. They are completely in their own right, and no one says 'x MUST also be in y', but you get the idea. If something brilliant works in NG or Ascended, or Quantum or Origins for that matter, it stands a chance of making it to Main. You have to realise though.. Main is massive. Change the value of income units by 20 (to give a simple example we did in NG), and you are messing with the market and game's economy immensely. Doing that in NG brings pain. Doing that in Main destroys lives. (I exaggerate, but you get the picture. Danger, Will Robinson, danger.)

But I am all for this one making it to Main. *grin*
I know I loved DDE for making Rookie Central, just fantastic. Especially the missions, and the fact that you get recognition not only on the site, but also badges, medals to wear reflecting your achievements. Part of my campaign to get the forum more integrated into the game is the attraction this has. :P

why is a good question

to stimulate activity on main 130-140 at once mainly

people like goals by showing them someone who has used 100k turns shows it possible

by rewarding activity as well as how the game is played it could in theory increase the new users to stay

by giving people an idea of what they are up against we would be able to see the activity

say a top 50 of people who have an average of 200 bill per full turn hit shows people its there

to be had and that you get a prize at the end of it all

but I like the idea of integrating the forum through the game to an extent

say you have a flash box saying julliete has stolen 200 trill today

we help create compition if that makes sense

Make sure you include the amount of players the player interacted with and the number of hits, staves the $$ buyers getting in

Most of the big farmers do less than 200bil per hit.

that's the point though

you can make a profit on 60 bill hits with the right set up

but the top 50 would show what is possible farming turn % wise

its more about stimulating activity

if you were sitting 2nd on 195 on the list would you try get some more hits people like their name being at the top - not all I might add but its a combination of things

ps it was a figure picked out

I'd love to see just a simple list of who has farmed the most in the last 10 days and how many turns they used. That would do wonders for my farming as well since atm I tend to get distracted after I've farmed 300t and stop farming for the rest of the week :/

its a good idea if theirs achievements or prizes for it then all the better its more of an incentive

doesn't need to be naq/ascended points it could be something like limited edition badges or achievments

example feb could have a badge called lovers tiff for most turns used between two players

or xmas could be called santas shots

lol silly suggestions

prizes would be better tho but limited to the experience of the player covert levels for example could be a prize but only up to say 38 max

Juliette quick question

are people auto registered for forums on sign up to the game

ie if there is gatewars nursery as of such for noobs to join

obviously the alliances would be round the ring baying for them to join them of course

which could bring in mentor achievements
