Hey Everyone,

I was kinda wondering whats your favourite memory ingame? I have been playing this game for almost 7 years now and I have alot of memories.

My favourite memory has to be when I first created The Collective, It was created by myself and Lordmike11bravo (RL best mate) we both decided we wanted to try our own thing. Over the years The Collective has closed and re-opened several times now but each time the same feeling of family is there.

Lets hear your fav ingame memories for this game? Was it an update? A war? Naq hit? Raid?

Odie

I have a few also, but starting the compaqs was mine. Go to first page of alliance (the link from command centre not attack page).

We done it as a piss take to begin with, we had a RL friend who has named himself Presario because of his computer make, we done the same with the alliance.
Actually done okay, was active and I ran it pretty well, once it started to die, my RL mate (daleboy_v1) was leader and deleted his account, I jumped ship, meaning that the alliance is still there today, but has no-one who has any functions on controlling it.

Playing a major part in masterminding the Ricos underlords vs the collective war. ;)

Also getting a phonecall from the beautiful kaerinae at 3am telling me to hop on and deal with the fact that pig newton had decided to include Ricos warlords.

Good times.

personally I have two

Chaos wars as part of an alliance (alantis {I think} with allies) taking down DD (well, namely PSICOLIX)

Second is when MAELSTROM when we took down then ruled perg

But I have to say, whenever anyone accomplishes anything, no matter how great, it stays with us as a personal achievement to hold dear (and who cares what anyone else thinks of it).

Being one of fundamental parts of Slovenia United Empire, the biggest single-nation empire that ever existed within the game, taking on empires much bigger than our own and always holding our ground and showing what we, Slovenians, are made of :)

One time especially, I think it was in '07 or '08, was fun when we were battling Empire of Briton and they were, despite their name, a world-wide alliance with a few really, really big accounts out there. They had the first strike and we usually couldn't get back at them by massing their biggest account as they were online throughout the times we were online and they were expecting it, so they called the guy every time we'd try something. We got up at 5 am, which was 4 am for most of EoB's members, I built a huge strike (think it was #1 just before I started massing) and massed the guy. Then we all went back to beds :-D We had special achievement badges in SU for wars, special events, competitions, notable sacrifices and notable destructions of enemy forces, as well as a ranking system, and a few of us got the 'one-time only' early-morning coordinated mass badge.

Then there was this time with The Pirate's Panties where we'd just mass anyone who opposed us and took on DDE and OE. I think it was 9 of us and they couldn't do anything while we'd just mass them every time they had something :P Can't remember who we went to war with first, DDE or OE.. But each time we were outnumbered about 10 to 1. They were the ones who wanted to end the war and kept coming to us with proposals about NAP agreements :P

Fun times :P

My time in AK, hands down.

Back in early '07, my first ever alliance had essentially fallen apart due to inactivity. I was fairly active on the forum at the time, and someone convinced me to apply for AK. I don't remember who, but I hopped on over to their forums and filled out an application. I didn't really qualify for The Aeon Kings, because I didn't meet the minimum requirements. A few people suggested I go through the Knights, but someone vouched for me and I became the smallest and weakest member of The Aeon Kings at the time (and probably since).

Over the next few months, I retained the status of "smallest and weakest member of the Kings" (even by Knights standards at the time, I wasn't anything special), but I was constantly helping other members grow. From advice to straight up farming and raiding for other alliance members, often for no cut. Just to help them. Reaperman, who was the leader of AK at the time and I believe one of the founding members, recognized my efforts and promoted me quickly up to HC and even second in command. I was as honored as I was dumb founded: the weakest member of the group, one of the main leaders.

Shortly after that, Reaperman had to take some time off from the game in order to deal with real life issues. When he did, he did something for me I will never forget: he gave me his account. Today, account swapping, buying, and selling isn't a big deal at all. Even back then, it wasn't unheard of. But this account was originally Bahamuts. This is the account that started AK, that continued AK through Reaperman, and was passed on to me to reward my dedication to AK--and so I would finally meet the Kings stat requirements, after months of being a member and building up almost everyone except myself.

I've had to take my own absences from the game for several reasons over the years, but to this day, even after years of popping in and out of the game, I still have that same account. It is one of the few things in cyberspace that I consider a true treasure.

Trivia time

Do you know that the original members of TL, the ones who took on COP, were all Slovenians?
