Just curious to find out what the definition of a sniper is. With increasingly powerful alliances and alliance functions. It is no longer the guerilla fighter that peaks the leaderboards.

I always thought of a sniper was something that consisted of somebody not building a defence yet building a strike to oppose their opponents when not online. Though I guess more recently it could be considered along with G&R bonuses, someone who drops of PPT, double strike/glory phase, makes their attacks and jumps straight back onto PPT to avoid war settings?

I had somebody attack me just yesterday after I took out their defence who subsequentially phased and double striked and whilst they were massing I set up tabs to build a 15t defence and after he bounced he quickly PPTed when he gave out a war set.

After that, there was somebody who I was cleaning after an alliance mate took their 120t defence. I obviously gave a war set and they didn't come on for 6 hours. They PPTed and returned only 30 mins later and attempted to take me out. I sabbed their strike away and they started taking huge losses and despite a war set. Very quickly PPTed. I remained off PPT until my merlins run out.

All this time I had a 6t defence and 4t strike...and off PPT for 24 hours. Yet, it seems I am a "Sniper".

This said, in the last month:

Super Soldier Lost 158,649,178
Super Guards Lost 274,892,402
Covert Ops Lost 202,131,479
CounterIntelligence Agents Lost 116,169,491

I have lost more super guards than super soldiers...

...what's your thoughts?

Your a sniper... for sure. Did you build 100T defence? No... your sniper. Did you build def under 10T? Your sniper... did you build 150T defence and kept rePPTing and massing otheres? Your sniper... and cheater of course.

<3 there's no such thing as sniping, it's strategic strategy and very successful but can be very boring.

boring like sitting on low defence with big strike and covert sniping players down? Or boring like sitting on defence one refreshing and repairing like mad?

Whats worse?

boring like not having a full on 1vs1 with equal defences and att ect.. which is were i find it the most fun.

Personally, I would never have called him a sniper, that said...he's doing more or less the same thing as me. Just more glory phase and double strikes. I very rarely have to utilise that anymore ...I guess he is a sniper then

I would love to have seen the "infamous" Bob's ME. Barely trained a unit yet found throughout the logs of every prolific war at the time. It's very effective. However, in the online game, if you ain't got a defence, your not going to ever see the enemy bounce off you...and that's where you make the real kills!

P.s Please enlighten me to what a "strategic strategy" is? Is it a strategy where you have to be strategic?

it's massing with minimal looses.. leave bob out of this what he ever do to you

Long range line of sight assassination.

For instance, a drone strike is not snipering, but sitting on a hilltop killing a target 2 miles out with your epic weapon, is.

only deciding to build when you can go through a 8 day ppt cycle and then getting 0'd and not building until you can do it again

I wondered why you only rebuilt today! Was that really a conscious decision?

that was my 120 trill def that odin took, i ppt due to getting some mpdsd then came off to mass you, i did not notice you sabbing till it was to late then i was losing to many uu and had no way to recover whilst you were at it, so i ppt, strategic to keep uu,

i did not insult you or be rude to you as per your pm to me, but you yourself were to me

and as for how i play if i want to purchase a ppt or sink quads in my ms i will,


i build big, you or your other members take it well done thats the game, but you moan and moan but when do you or any of your alliance build big?? never

What was my defence you tried to take with a war/war setting?

Same defence that was too big for your 76t strike that you had to PPT?

Despite my PM sent earlier, I like you Simpson. You do put up crazy defences and you know how to mass. I didn't intend on naming particulars as you've only got under my skin once
