Calc?

Is there a working calculator anywhere?

Never had any problems with the Betty Calc. Never tried sabbing with the other one. Are you certain that it was the calc and not inconsideration towards Alert Level?Be4utiful_De4th wrote:The betty calc never works. and im nervous about the other. the sabbing math always seems to be wrong.
The betty calc always works for me, I use it several times a week and have never had any issues. What exactly are the issues you are encountering? If you can elaborate maybe we can figure out the issue you are having, maybe its more to do with your computer?Sniperwax wrote:Never had any problems with the Betty Calc. This is pretty accurate, but step one should be 5 levels. And just to clarify before it is asked, for every level over 5, just divide by a factor of √ 2Agapooka wrote:The best way to tell if a sab is going to succeed is to spy with the same amount of spies that you plan to sab with.
Recons are much more forgiving. If you see almost all of their stats, then you're probably safe.
To be even safer add a few extra (10%).
Keep in mind that spy levels are not as effective if there's a big gap and your spy level is much higher (more than 4 levels higher).
You need to know all of the following about your foe before getting an accurate calculation:
1. Their covert power
2. Their covert level vs your own covert level
3. Their alert level
First step:
1. If their covert level is less than 4 levels below yours, calculate what your covert power would be with their level+4.
2. Take that number (or your total covert power if the above does not apply) and divide it by the number of spies you have. We'll call this number A.
3. Divide your foe's covert by A. This is the minimum number of spies you should send.
4. Spy your foe with this number of spies. If you can see all of their stats, increase the number of spies by 10% and sab away.
5. If you see too many ???s, increase the number of spies incrementally until you see all of their stats and go to step 4.

99.9% of the time failure is user error. I would make sure you are reading it correctly and putting in what needs to be put in.Be4utiful_De4th wrote:I type the info it requests, and it tells me how many spies to use. I use said spies, it fails, half die. And yes i use the exact numbers I dont round off.
Happens every time.
one time it said i only need to send one spy. that's after 2 million failed.
Unfortunately there is only so many free hosting sites with the features that are needed to run it. Maybe someday I'll find a better one.Diregie wrote:this.Jaime Lannister wrote:BettyCalc hardly ever fails. It is quite good. Only problem it has is the crappy server it's hosted on.
