Hey Peeps,

I know a lot of people refuse to use money on the game in regards to the real black market (buying and selling between players) and the ingame black market. I have heard some people saying this is just another way for admin to make money etc, However I would like to hear what the players would have to say about this.

ps. In no way does this topic imply or suggest that the only xmas Gift, Special or final seasons ingame festivities from Kingdom Games Ltd. or company is the "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.. sale!". I am merely wondering what people might think of the sale.

p.s.s any thoughts on anything else that might be in store, if anything might be in store? (I don't wish to jump to a conclusion of extra things being in store or not)

The Christmas sale is not a Christmas gift, dearie.
As everyone who remembers previous years knows: sale != gift

Let me explain the difference:
- Gifts do not require any action or expense on your part.
- Sales are just that, extra bang for your buck, if you will.

I know the definition and difference between gift and a sale I'm not a 2 year old.
That is not the main purpose of the post mind you.

The Christmas sale is not the Christmas gift.
They are two separate events.

The sale happens from December 15 to January 7.
A gift will be given on Christmas. We won't tell what. That would be spoiling the secret, and a waste of wrapping materials. The Elves are still working their behinds off.

I see Xmas sales in all the shops on the high street, I don't see this as being anything different.

It's an opportunity to stock up on Merlin's, for those who spend real currency.

So in regards to the earlier "a way for admin to make more money", basically.. yes. That's the thing with any sale.

Good point, I dare say a lot of people would take advantage of that as well. No one can have to many merlins lol. However my MS could use with a paint job, The current black and purple look it has right now is getting a little old.

One does wonder how much of the yearly $$$ income for jason is based on these sales. All those %'s and stats etc that of course we would never be allowed to see (and rightly so as its a business for him). I personally don't think I will be taking advantage of the sale, Every spare penny I have in December goes to a charity that hands food out to families in need over xmas.

Oh shut up Odin. Of course its another way for Admin to make money. He does a fine job as it is tempting you to spend money, Christmas is just another teaser. The sad part is you all spend money on a game like this than on something more worthwhile. To each there own I suppose...

I know its a way for admin to make money over xmas I never said it wasn't. It's his game and he can do it if he likes to I'm not saying he should or shouldn't. I just said before what I spend my extra cash on dude and its charity over the xmas season not sgw. I was just wondering who would and would not be taking advantage of it this year.

I think it is right for the admin to take advantage of xmas sales, after all, we love this game and im sure admin doesnt make much from it tbh, most sales are probs done through forum currency sale as they are cheaper. I personally dont spend ££ on here but thats not by choice because if i had the spare cash i would defo be buying a few upgrade I do sometimes wonder how many people do still use the ingame black market though. If i was admin i would sell resources on the forum through an ingame account like everyone else and be competetive with the rates.......

I haven't spend a dime on this game so far, but I'm seriously tempted now

I used to spend a decent amount on here, I would say I was in the top 10 spenders though. However I see it as this is a form of entertainment and if it is something that shall keep you entertained for a while hell why not. If you go to the movies here in Australia you spend $15 on a movie ticket then maybe $10-$15 on food then you see a 1-2 hour movie and that's it. At least if you spend money on here and get a covert lvl for example that will be with you till you finish playing.

In saying that I don't spend cash anymore on the game because I am just here for the social side of things now days. Each person is different in regards to how they wish to spend there cash. So by the looks of things and what people have told me in private so far they are tempted to purchase something this year, Lots of people are aiming more for turns overall I think.

That's because of turns being so scarce/ expensive nowaday
