Ascending cuts PPT in half?

Hello all, quick question. I was wondering why when I just ascended my PPT time got cut from 2 days to one day? If I ascend again, does it get cut again?
Is this a Bug or design?
I know that you lose everything (units, tech, etc.) but I was unaware that I would lose all my turns! I had 1000+ and now I have 50.

hmmm that's wierd normally when you ascend you get 2800 min or somethink = 48 days of ppt + extra turn if you do it corretly

Ascension PPT is 24 hours. (Newgrounds, Flux.)
Never do PPTs stack, but it shouldn't reduce duration either. Normally checks time left to see if it should affect your PPT, suppose it didn't do that properly now.
