Please use just standard characters in your name. No math, no quotes, no keyboard funk. After all, the name should be pronouncable if you want your name known throughout the cosmos.

Yeah I have, and I just tried again unable to do it, still receiving no funk message

Yes. The point is that you should NOT enter the asterisk. The game takes care of that one for you.

It seems you would be encroaching on anothers reputation with that name. Find one that is not already in use.

Your not in the tournament are you? Impossible to change your name if you are, until it ends.

If I can change your name while on your account, I'm going to delete your account. You better make sure you can't change it.

actually, i'd put money on the problem being...
he's trying to change his name to *wardyward
he's been told to enter wardyward and the system would add the *
he can't change to wardyward because his main ascended account and that's the error he's getting.
If he were to change the main to wardyward2, i'd bet good money that he could change his multi to *wardyward (without the * anyway) then wardyward2 can change back to wardyward as the alternative is *wardyward
I'm fairly sure that is the problem at least.

iVE CHANGED IT TOO *WARDY
the problem still exists though, I cannot change it to *wardyward and I do not wish to waste another 3k turns to try it.
