mouthlord suits my persona at the moment trolling people running my mouth isnt offensive in the name so

A) i shouldnt have a 2nd warning as jules said i didnt

B) name isnt offensive

C) why cant my account post in here

Hi CC,

You are banned for 24 hours, a standard cooldown ban. Forum staff does
that sometimes to people who seem exceptionally angry or uncooperative,
and who risk earning a lot of warnings in a short period of time. The ban
does not count towards your warnings, it is a temporary measure.

Warning 1: Spam Sat May 17, 2014 12:59 pm
Warning 2: Abuse Sat May 31, 2014 10:47 am
Cooldown ban: 24h. Sat May 31, 2014 11:40 pm
Warning 3: Insulting username Mon Jun 02, 2014 9:55 am (Rule 3.a, fyi.)
3rd Warning Ban: 2 weeks.

Are you contesting any specific one of these warnings?

The message concerns the temporary ban (cooldown) which does indeed not count as a warning; however, you were warned independently before that (the abuse warning).

You asked me why you were banned. I explained the cooldown ban to you and corrected the ban duration. You did not ask about the second warning, and I did not mention it. The cooldown ban and the second warning are two separate incidents.

So you are contesting the warning for your username, I take it? :) Good. Now that we have established you are in fact making an appeal, we can continue.

Timeline:
- You changed your name to "Pricklord", violating rule 3.a.
- Received a verbal warning for that in PM
- Changed your name back to M.I.A.
- Then you changed your name to "Mouthlord"
- Received a board warning.

Your appeal is that "Mouthlord" is not an offensive username (but you agree that "Pricklord" is) and that the username "Mouthlord" suits your 'mouthy character', then? :) And that if "Mouthlord" is not offensive, you should not have been warned (and banned)?
Again, just outlining what exactly you are appealing, no judgement either way at this point.

Just as a point, not that it is necessarily valid given admission of guilt. However, prick cannot be used as a derogatory term. Simply as it is not deemed a vulgar term on these forums. Mods mistake, not mine.

if prick is deemed offensive/inappropiate on here, then why hasn't it been added to the *filter?.. its clearly been used in posts on here in the past.

q on timing of warnings. if CC was banned/on 24hr cooldown was he given time to change his username in the interum?

I changed his username back to what it was, and PMed him.

Why? There was nothing wrong with it?

As per mod advice.

This is not the forum for public discussion of the rules; this is the forum where people make an appeal, which is judged by the section heads and mod admin. After reaching a conclusion, the judgement is made known in this thread.

Thank you for your contribution providing some insight in precedent, FM.

The appeal has been made, and will be discussed by the Section Chiefs. Pending conclusion of judgement, this thread is closed as per procedure.
