Virus?

This week , i have had problems with 3 different computers. I will go to access my account and play a little, and then all this banners and popups fill my screen and tabs start opening saying that I need to update my video player.
Anyone else having problems and what is the solution? I really enjoy playing but i can't afford to keep taking my computer in the shop.

Your title is misleading.
There is no such thing as a 'Gatewars virus', nor are your computer problems in any way related to Gatewars. (Statistically, you are more likely to notice an infection on any specific site where you spend most of your time, though.)
Use an anti-virus program or malware scanner to find out what has infected your system, and get rid of it.

There is no ad at the top of this forum. Please check your system as outlined, for your own safety.
Gatewars has had no advertisements displayed in game or on the forum for at least the last 2 years.

it was coming up where the banner is, I was trying to close/click out of the damn thing... Chorus might have been doing same thing???
I don't have an ingame account so it was only forum I got it from.... (using firefox)

just happened again ... got told to update Java, so I screenshot the forum page.. ad thing is above banner.
laptop was working fine until I logged into here

I'm also using that forum theme femme, it has never had an add banner.
So either you have some 3rd party browser addon that's adding it, or you already have malware on your pc. It looks like you have Adblock plus installed, so you should not even get that ad-placeholder being rendered.
Anyway, assuming your not running windows 8, grab a copy of combofix from here
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/ it's free and is easily one of the best malware removers available without having to spend big bucks. Follow the instructions it gives, it will take a long time and I can't remember the number of times you will need to reboot. Once that has finished, run any other antivirus you fancy.

It sounds like you have adware...when downloading or visiting certain sites, your computer will install new programs into your computer, which makes all your browsers have ads and pop-ups.
Go to control panel on your computer, then to uninstall programs and make it show the programs in order from newest to oldest, and uninstall all the ones that you did not add to your computer.
This should help but you might also need to download an adware cleaner program that will search your computer for adware.
You can pm me if you still have problems cause there is a chance I wont pop back in here...I don't usually leave quantum.
