The Criminal Web v BenHur and Associates

The alliance was given a game for the Halloween weekend, take down the highest defense of a player not affiliated with an alliance. Game was given to boost moral, increase activity, and general education on how to take down defenses easily. Game was quite effective, for all you mid range alliance leaders... :smt047

BenHur was the only victim who came forward asking for repayment, it was denied.

BenHur promptly then began making threats at the alliance and acted on them.

No diplomacy at this time, just war.

The individual is interssting to say the least. Not sure what their angle is yet. I have taken then to 0 deffense only to have them spend enough Naq to get off a few pop shots at our lowest members. Then take them back dowm agian. He seems to be on a suicide mission with no reasoning.

Good luck to you Benhur

So let me get this right?

- Your alliance is issued orders to go and random mass.
- BenHur gets massed, randomly, without provocation.
- He seeks reimbursement for the random massing, you refuse.
- He attacks you back, as you refused to replace losses.
- You get your entire alliance to sit on him.

That about sum it up?

BenHur, good luck. Hopefully you remember some of the lessons from your time in TÅF and show them what it can mean to mess with the wrong people.

Ben wanted paid back in full, and more. That was cause for refusal (Not to mention it was under a 10T defense, which wasn't our biggest take down. 32T was, and that player has yet to request anything...). How is this action taken, any worse than an ME going to find semi active players/IA's to get his/her ME up.

I refer you to Zeon's thread about how players are nowadays demanding repayment for loses.

We didnot declar war on him until after 3 days of him attacking our members in his demand for repayment. He stated I will continue to be in your alliance attack long for infinity unless I am payed back. He was then informed we will not give in to extortion and would in turn make him the alliance farm if he did not back away with the current losses.

This did not need to escalate. No other members except the original 1:1 were invloved until he statrted massing others within our alliance out of his demands.

Heh, random massing in the first place was a declaration of war :P

It's all about economies of scale, sure you could make him a farm, but he can also make each and every one of your alliance members a farm, mass whenever he see's something worth his time. For each single defence you can mass, he can mass as many of yours as he likes. Might be worth you giving him what he asked for and chalking this down to experience, every action has a consequence.
