After clicking on a recruitment page I no longer see the "thank you, you have created an extra soldier for blah blah" page. The page loads but that area is blank. Also the "#three1" bit takes longer to load and sometimes loads the old one which gives me the "for sanity you must wait" page.

I get this too and im on IE olny on some peoples links

did this just start? when?
any commonality on when the blank happens? -time of day, site (ie only at work, etc)?
does it always happen or just sometimes?
what does hitting refresh do?

this is a bug? -slaps forehead- lolololol wow.. maybe you wont be so amused by what i know and experience Admin and THIS has been happening since i joined lol

When you click on someone's link i get a "page cannot be displayed" error, when you refresh it, it just goes blank, all the site navigation points are there and the art and everything, but nothing in the middle, just blackness. i have to go back to the Gate Page, however soldiers are being given and the links ARE working as far as i can tell because..
1. the troop appears in my buddies count and
2. if you try to click it again you get the page where it tells you not to bother for xx:xx amount of hours/minutes.

i use internet explorer on default browser settings

-=StE=- SP2 causes alot of problems, maybe?

i use FireFox(the recomended browser)

and i still come up with these blank outs, i find it happens when i go to the site before i click on the link.

if that makes sense??

i haven't really paid attention to it cause i know it still adds the people, just the message is gone

exactly. it only happens if you click the link after you visit the site, thanks Psi.. i forgot that part.

so the deal is?:

1 you goto stargatewars.com
2 you logon?
3 a)you look up a player or use forum or such to find another's link
b) (same if you use your own link?)
4) you get the display with numbers spelled out
5) you click
6) page is blank.
7) refresh tells you you've already clicked.

Is this about it? so if you click without step 1&2 it works fine?

I use netscape which has my info saved and then i just click login, but even when I click from outside of http://www.stargatewars.com it does the same thing.

I think for the majority of the time I do have a page open to stargatewars though.

Its pretty much a constant thing for me now from the last 15 hours.

*edited* Yes its exactly as you described but I haven't tested it with out step 1 and 2 yet. I will try in a few hours.

*Edit again* Tested ti with out being logged into SGW and it still comes up blank (blank being a black page in the middle)

yes... just about, except that after logging on i can never seem to find anyone's link anyhow so i choose insted to have people send their links in pms heheh

oh.. and if you don't do steps 1+2 it works to it's fullest extent 75% of the time and you get a page where you can sign into/register yourself under your chosen commander. 25% of the time i get "error page cannot be displayed"

ok - i did some possible fixes (not knowing exactly what the problem is...)
can anyone confirm it's better, worse, same error, different error,e tc?

had one report of the left hand navigation failing just below "xx people online" ... any other info would help a lot! .... all details are important.

also - does the left hand nav show the 'logon' details, or the 'realm links' details, if it does fail there?

page not found? if you turn "friendly errors" off on the advanced tab of IE, does it give more detail?

fighting for a bug free realm!!! (no offense to replicators....)

Still no fix for me on the <td bgcolor=" front, Im check it on Netscape when I get home and see if its the same problem

i have many links to click per day and i must admit i got a decrease of blank page errors, maybe you are almost there Forum lol. i think i remember seeing that the left hand navigation is there although i, in my lack of lateral thinking, didn't bother to use that. Definately no sign-in windows, it does not sign you out

Just tried this using I.E 6. Left hand navigation bar is fine up till after the member count.

Also, I return to my Command Centre and I had received 2 soldiers instead of 1, though this might be a co-incidence.

maybe someone clicked your link too? do you have friends who click it for you?
