Email duplicate

I got a new account, have shifted the old one to a new owner (changed email, and looks like he has changed the name now too).
When I go to change the email on my new account says the email is taken. After a bit of probing I realise that this is probably my NG account that has that email address.
Is there anyway I can have both email addresses on my new main and NG?
Kind of annoying otherwise
