Heya, I'm new here

Hi, I'm currently a university student and somehow end up having waaaaay too much free time on my hands, so I end up playing a few online games. I just found this and it looks pretty cool.
However it is a bit confusing and I was wondering if there were any experienced players still playing who wouldn't mind just taking me through how it all works etc if thats OK. Thanks!
