new untrained mercs idea

i have a new idea for untrained mercs. since UM (untrained mercs) are cheap and they come in the market every turns then why not make then make ur bank space bigger? that way it wont be that much better for the really high ranking players because they already have a really big banks space. they could make ur bank space bigger by like half of what 1 UU does so 1/4 of what a miner makes towards ur bank space. they would not affect ur turn income production because that would be another thing going for high ranking players.

Old suggestion. Besides, they are mercenaries, not bankers.

All it would do would allow the already rich players to buy up all of ther mercs and increase their bank space.

why just not allow the UM to be trained to either defending or attacking for an extra 1,3k=> would be a bit more expensive, but would give you a choice in what they should become.

They can be used to make you look good, Having 100's of thousands of mercs at cheap prices can make your army look big

No, they used to contribute to both attack and defence, although to a alesser degree than attack/defence mercs.

but they did need weapons in order to contribute to attack and def, right?
that could be fine too. but i'd say one should still be able to train them additionally to specialize them in att or def.

The point is - they are mercenaries. One would not expect to have to ire a mercenary and then have to train him! Id we we're going to do that, we might as well scrap untrained mercs altogether (not a bad idea on its own) and just introduce more attack/defence mercs per turn.

fine by me. Would be fine. I seriously don't see the point of untrained mercs which are incapable of fighting or just to a very limited degree.

could you just not use untrained mercs as an additional bank type thing, you just buy them to store your money so you cant loose it and when you need money desperatly you sell you um

Unfortunatly you lose the most ammount of naqudah in this process, and the merc limits stop you from buying enough to mean anything anyways. so maybe untrained mercs should be unlimited.

An untrained merc is useless on a battlefield. I dont see how an untrained merc is even worth 10 naqudah!

Maybe have them "mature" after x amount of days into something else?
