My commander is about to re-ascend and so he dismissed everyone in preperation for that. I went to make myself my own commander and got this message:

You allegiance is to your alliance -being its leader- first and foremost. You will not dilute that allegiance with a commander.

I'm sorry, but what? I can see not allowing an alliance leader to have a commander from outside the alliance, but to not even be able to benifit from the UP boost of being your own commander? I don't get the intent of that part of this "enhancement."

yeah i just got the same thing trying to get rid of my commander i go to make myself my own commander but i cant WTH is the point in this forum???

The same for me. Does anyone know how to get around it?

I think it is the 24 hour thing even if he makes dismisses you I believe it doesn't allow at least that is what I remember when jix let me go.

If you are leader of an alliance, you cant make get a new commander. It sucks, but that is the way it is.

Yeah i've had this before there is a very easy way round it just hand leadership over to someone you trust, select your commander be it yourself or not then have leadership handed back to you.
