GAMEMOD, please clarify

Hi, I need a little advice regarding a possible multi situation and need clarification.
A freind of mine has offered to give me his ascension account as he does not have enough time to play both.
I am not ascended myself and dont really want to due to losses involved so I do not have an ascended account.
as the 2 servers are linked however I thought I best seek clarification before I start to play it seriously.
