Notice the ID's, consecutive. Good chance it was a multi that has been punished....although a little harshly. Negative units, negative income, vicious circle.

So if you were to attack or raid these people, would you lose naq or units to them? That would be absolutely hilarious! I'd try it, but I'm pretty poor in turns at the moment.

Interesting... I've never seen this before, and if you spy on them, the spy report doesn't say anything about -soldiers or -UP...

No, because training is just a check of a<b, where a is the number you try to train, and b is the number you have. If b is negative, you can never train anything, because the input box will even train 1 if you type -1. So you can't train negative amounts.
