Uh... first you need to be a mod, then (depening on the power(s) given) you will have the normal mod options of locking (Which i think is what you mean by closing), editing, spliting, deleting, moving, and all that other moderating jazz.

The actual modding interface varies from forum to forum.
Some {Forums} have a seperate login before you can mod, others let you jump right in.
Some {Forums} use radio buttons for choosing options, others, small drop down lists.

That usually depends on more the TYPE of forum, as some forums (such as this one) have VERY complicated coding and are hard to modify, especially for something as minor as changing a radio button to a drop down list.

And lets face it, most forums nowadays are simply downloaded & installed.

I am all for spam, but I do not recall him asking how to modify the forum, nor I suggesting that the forum could be modified :P

Aye. But I still like my invision. :-D

<SElfEdit> Ahh I think I see the confusion.
I did mean the type of forum, not mods. I will edit to make that clear.

By close, do you mean lock? Or do you mean change the thread name to close?

Well to lock it, inform a mod (e.g wolf359)...explain why you need it locking and they'll do it for you (because you dont have that sort of power)

Or to rename the thread to closed you.....edit the first post and then change the subject name...simple :-D

Not correct, there always has to be a mod to close a thread
