An idea for the market..

I looked through, maybe not good enough, but I didn't see anything like my idea :P

So here goes:

As you all have noticed, we are starting to run a bit short on turns in the market.. So my idea would be that every turn 1,5(could be more or less) * the amount of players on main wich would secure a nice and steady flow of turns in the market and would ensure that not just 5-15 people are sitting with 50% of all the turns in the game..

That would mean that around 60-70k turns into the market each turn and then since they are so popular they would rise a bit in value as well.. I.e. you get less turns for naq or UU/lifers..

Just my 2 cents..

Relative to the amount of active players, that sounds good. It would fit in with the expanding nature of the game. Just like one day, sabbing one weapon at a time was good enough, but when people got tons of weapons it had to be changed to a percentage. Same thing could go here. The only problem I see is the proportions you describe. The market should produce a lot fewer turns than the entire galaxy. Having a lot more would only add to the problem of big players buying up massive quantities of turns. They are hardly bounded by the amount of naq they make, with their ridiculously high incomes.

But they can only have 10k turns tops. Right?

I keep hearing about a cap, but I haven't reached it, haven't seen it mentioned on the updates page, and haven't seen an official post by Forum, which leads me to believe it's just rumors and hearsay. Or Forum just forgot to fill us in.

This cap is there, I can't send turns to a person with over 10k turns and I get the message that 10k is maximum.

In that case, I will take your word for it. I will see if I can get the updates page updated :)

If there is a 10k cap then how do certain players have so many? I know one player with a ton of turns that I sold more turns to a few weeks ago and there was not a problem transfering them to him.

*Bump* Would be cool to see something like this in effect.. Although possibly not so large numbers as i first intended but enough to keep the market from staying dry for more than 5 turns..
