I bought supporter status less than a week ago. I have successfully made private broker trades, but when I tried to buy turns for naq it didn't work. I read in all that mess somewhere that I had to wait 2 weeks to be "known in the cosmos" before I could do that.

Can anyone enlighten me what this is about?

Yes, new accounts need to wait a bit (2weeks about) to be able to use market. Something to prevent multies I guess..

Ok, it makes sense to combat cheating.

It would have been great, however, if that were posted on the updates or upgrade page! (I just rechecked and found nothing).

I had just sold uu in a private broker deal. I got set and hurried - taking the naq out of the bank and rushing to market to buy turns with it! Knowing that I do not yet have the defense to hold on to any significant sum of naq I hurried as fast as I could!! I made the trade, waited expectantly, and was then denied!!!!! I then had a chunk of money I could no longer put safely in my alpha site and no time to even consider carefully what to do with it. I had to spend it quickly before someone noticed and attacked. I sank it all into UP and am happy enough with that, but it could have been horrible. And I would have prefered to make decision knowing the facts.

Ah well - now I just rant and offer my story for your amusement!

This is the most poorly documented cool game I've ever seen though. Usually it's lame games that have this little information!

I've heard of coms that have attempted (and sometimes materialized) sabbs, massings, raids, and farming against the accoutns of their officers;
but that takes the cake!
