BUMP is an old acronym for 'Bring Up My Post'
Thus you 'bump' a thread to put it at the top of the page.
This is especially useful for recruitment threads; where your not holding a conversation, but you still need to insure maximum exposure by keeping it near the top.

But i might be to leniant with the n00blets.
Still... if Setesh is willing to drop by now and then to have a go with the newbie bat and preach about the scroll....
And now back to protesting the new 150 pokemon... still protesting the old 150... and the 150 before that... and the 200 before that... and the 150 before that.... ... pfft...and we though HP was destructive to the minds of teh children.
