is it true, that when you change your race when you're ascended 2x or more (I am) that you drop to a prior? (i'm a prophet, and will ascend for the 3rd time in 4 days, and I need an answer fefore then) thanks!

If thats true, then it's better than what it was:
Complete deascension on race change no matter what level.

So yes, if you have ascended I wouldn't change race.

It's true, afaik. I changed from Tollan to Ancient straight after my first ascension, and I still have all the bonuses. (5%)

However, rereading the page for changing races, I may be wrong about the back to prior 5% bonus.

"NOTE: You can change advanced race to advanced race as long as you have race changes left to use. There are no ill effects."
