My income just dropped in the last hour or two below my minersx80 and my alert level is still <none>, though I might change it to see the effect.

Any ideas anyone?

check if ur officers have increased, or that u've changed commanders, or ur commander has changed his settings and finally have u checked ur calculations again...

if all fine then i'm surprised but pm forum or report as bug...

did you gain and officer, like had 0 before and left the box ticked, and he snuck in, might be it, that happened to me before lost like 15mill per turn for 10 hours i got anoyed with him for not asking first!

Answer to post above - if he had 1 officer before and now has 10 he would still loose the amount he did if he had 1, 30% to all officers even if they have 1 or 25

EDIT: Just looked you up, and yea you have 1 officer so thats prob the reason lol, tell him to shove off

What a goober I am - you are right - someone added me as CO and I hadn't noticed. Woo - my first officer  hehe

Thanks!

Edit: I'm going to be ascending in a couple days - that will be a test of his loyalty

He might just be a sponge, taking your income. you should dismiss him if he has a really crappy UP. This is advice coming from the mouth of a person who never had an officer

A single officer isn't worth it unless s/he's a friend.
Go bulk or Go quality.
Anything else is a sab target for your next spy level.

Well, not even sending a message certainly does make him look like simply a leach to be discarded. I sent him a message though - I'm giving him a chance to talk first.

As Shizune said, I have to start somewhere. I wasn't going to add officers until after I ascended next week and built my income up a bit, but if he turns out to be teachable, I might give him a try. Loyalty is also huge, but everyone will claim that - whether it's true or not. Maybe we can start a feedback forum for officers and COs like there is for traders :P

After all, generic adds in the recruitment forum can't yield great results I would think. I expect to have to test and prune.

And thank you for the advice above and beyond the question I embarrassed myself with!

indeed, you start with one... but I do never accept and unsollicited officer, they need to contact me first, those who don't... got dismissed. If they don't send a message and they are still coming back.. then I deal with them.
you should always have contact with your officers
