Ok i've looked through search didnt see it mentioned. So im just wondering, and ive posted in ascended forum, why mothersips dont get ascended bonus? we have seen the ori build and bless, ships, satelites, etc. so why dont we get 5%, 10%....30% on our motherships?

also if this was implenmented it would have to be back dated so every ascended player got his right % added to stats.

interesting, how about instead of it getting a bouus it has a % chance that would basically keep any damage from happening to your mothership
like 5%for priors...

My answer would be "because no normal race has a bonus in motherships".

Tauri have a bonus in attack.
Ascended have a bonus in attack.

Asgard have a bonus in defense.
Ascended have a bonus in defense.

Replicators have a bonus in covert and anti-covert.
Ascended have a bonus in covert and anti-covert.

Goa'uld have a bonus in income and have free banking.
Ascended have a bonus in income and free banking.

Hence, I vote "no". Ascended people already have power, to give more is just enlarging the gap of power.

actually there are alot of low powered people who could use this to gain on those in power who havent yet acended

I guess that there also high powered people that could get a gain from this - a lot of high powered people.

But hey, just because it benefits weak people (among others) does not mean that it should be implemented. Hell, 10,000 unit production bonus would beneft low powered people too...

Defend your stance strongly. I am aware of the fact that the above argument is weak, but it certainly finds a weakness in yours. Hence, your argument (if you want to call it that) was "bashed" by a weak argument (if you want to call it that) from my side.

Im sick of this being used as an answer to every new idea, tough luck, ppl will always be at top, get over it! why should we pay for being better?

You're not paying. You (at least, this suggestion) is asking for more power., hence, you are asking to be paid. You've got to learn the difference between not being paid and paying. One has no variance, latter has a negative variance. If you are so superior, don't you already have power?

I know the power of the ascended. I have experienced it once upon a time. I also know that a line needs to be drawn somewhere, and that everything happens for a reason - preferably a good reason.

ok im not paying but every good idea, like pianomutt's space station idea, brilliant, but was instantly shot down by those complaining over a power gap!

work on your stats and stop fussing over ours.

Oh, I work on my stats. In fact, whether or not this idea would benefit me at the moment, I can only state what I believe from a global and unbiased perspective.

What do you think of a 10,000 UP bonus? Outrageous? Where is the fine line?

but hold on, if /\ is the case then shouldnt ascended get a bonus to their attack or defence or (for the rep and 'uld ascended) some other bunus, like cheaper weapons or sumthing?
bear in mind I'm not actually ascended so this is one of the "weaker" players point of view

we wouldn't hab many updates if everything was shot down with "power gap" excuse. even ascension that was designed and does help the smaller players out was accused of being "power gap" too.

If someone points out that it would create a power gap, then maybe, instead of complaining, you should think of a way to balance it.

i dont have 100% sure, but one tauri mothership get more attack per weapon tha one ascended? the tecnologies afect the mothership? i have a impresion they did! i will do the math and come back later!

tauri, asgard do get some bonus. tauri (stronger nano volleys, weaker shields). asgard (weaker nano volleys, stronger shields). repli/goa'uld/ascended (no bonus)

The main server isn't exactly the server that is in desperate need of updates *cough*.

But if what you said in the post durectly above me is true (about Tauri and Asgard having mothership bonuses), then I retract my statement above .
