I was planing to buy some weapons for my mothership but I forgot and I sent my mothership out. Can I still buy the weapons without any ill effect or will I have to wait the full 24 hours until it comes back?

As far as i'm aware you can indeed buy weapons with no ill-effect.
I've bought many fleets, and (though i was not making a close inspection) am pretty sure that when I bought 25 regular weapons, they were added as well.

i think forum should make it so you can't buy weapons or repair your ship while it is gone, however that is not the case right now.

It still seemed like the quickest way to get an answer to this question would be to just buy a weapon and see what happens.

Meh, i'm a mod now. I can't be as trigger happy as I once was.

i've upgraded my mothership many times while it is in transit... it's kind've kewl, yet at the same time funny.
