hi all
is it worth upgrading a planet with def? how much would i have to spend to make it safe(ish)?
1000 def would cost 30bil that seems a lot and im not sure 1000 would be enough
thanks for the help

they are underpowered, any decent ms can steal easily, not all planets are worth defending as their bonuses suck. and its wont cost 30 bil, its wil be more- bigger size=10mil per def wep= many more billions

ie 2100,800 mil=2-3 atk str
vs 10-70mil (depending on size) per 3mil def str. which is easier to strengthen with the same amount of naq

ok so how many defense structures would you need to make it fairly secure or can you not make secure at the moment?

You can probably get away with 700+ Million in planetary defense.
Get three or four junk planets to use as fodder, and you should be able to keep it. (Name them the same).

But meh, I make no promises. Nomis could be farming and just happen to find you <_<

It all depends on what type of planet it is. Thankfully, for the time being at least, the planet's size and function are still shrouded with '???' so people can really pinpoint the better planets. At the moment UP would have to be the most contested as they give the same bang for your buck as upgrading UP the normal way except that for those of us with massive UPs, with the cost of upgrading it normally by say 1000, we could use a planet and boost it by 3000 or there abouts.
It also helps if you start with a tiny planet. They only have 10 defence slots but they only cost 10 million each so fill up, upgrade the size for 100K and add 90 more at 20 million each. Upgrade again for a million and boost your defence count to about 250 which will result in a defence of 750 million or so which would keep most of the low-level planet stealers at bay.

So far to get a defence of 750 you have spent about 6.4 billion. By comparison an attack would have had to spend about 21 billion so you're ahead but not totally safe.
