Adding to Mothership while it's exploring...

Am I the only one who thinks you shouldn't be able to do this? If it's "out there", then it's not in your construction dock, therefore, you shouldn't be able to do any construction on it.
Just a thought...

i agree. i was shocked that i could upgrade in the first place when my ms was away

it's a good point, but it really doesn't make a difference if you upgrade when it's away or not.

This is true and anyway you can NOT use it while its away so just assume that its being added when it gets back so when your MS gets back and it doesn't appear till the end of the turn assume that the upgrades are being added

I always assumed the parts (slots and weaps) are prefabbed at your dock then when it returns its all fitted in as short amount of time as possible so buying things when its out dont really make much differance when you think about it.
its no further a stretch of the imagination than to assume the slots/weaps are added as soon as you buy them which they appear to be.

Just think about it like this... Would you rather be forced to wait? I for one would find that to be quite annoying.

just think of it as:
1. pre-fabbed weapons brought on board
2. crew members going out on space walks to install them
