I have recently heard an idea about having to play assended wars to protect yourself from being killed there, and hence having to regress back to being the normal race you were before assention. One of the problems with this would be that the top 10 people could kill off everyone else, leving only them as the assended people in the game, they would be able to trade freely between themselves, and dominate more then they do. As no one else except them could be assended, because they would probably kill them as soon as they did.

The one thing that i don't understand about this problem is that, as far as I can tell, there is no plan to remove vacation mode in ascended. Those who don't want to compete on ascended can just go into a permanent vacation, and not care.

personally i don't use it but i am still for a permanent vacation since some people do not have the time to play another server, especially if they play other mmorpg's

In that case they shouldn't have ascended.

I agree that some form of activity needs to be mandated in ascension in order that you keep your bonuses in main - even if it is simply the act of logging in! You certainly shouldn't be allowed to just go onto a permanent vacation mode.

Question - if the Ori in Stargate SG-1 went on permanent vacation - would the Priors still have their power?

Probably not.

The ancients have basically been on a permanent vacation mode in the series.

I must admit I did not think into about going on perminant vacation. And Wolf, people shoule be able to be assended to get the bonuses, and not have to stay alive on the Assended wars server. Otherwise, as i stated before, there could be only 10 people assended, and thus the most powerful of all due to the bonuses, and no one else would be able to be.

ok 1 descention isnt even made yet, so that blows ur idea of 10 ppl in ascention

2 once descention is made, even if somehow they managed to organize such a thing, thers 1,479 ppl that have ascention accounts at the time of this post. so thers no way it could happen.

it just is not fair that some ppl dont play ascention but they get to keep ther 30% bonus (for 6x ascendees)

I agree. I have a suggestion for this. Since Main and Ascension are connected, how about, if you go on vacation mode in ascension, it put you on vacation mode in main, and vice versa. The same thing when one comes out.

After all, if you truly are on vacation, and can't log in to bank, then, it doesn't matter, and this would only Really bother abusers of vacation mode.

Link Ascsesion and Main vacation mode toagther....u vacate mode in ascnseion u auto vacate in main and vice versa....and throw in deascnsion

I love that idea! I have been in a position where I could have ascended for the last, i'm not entirely sure how long, but it was 5 weeks after it came in that I had the option of ascending.

I am still a goauld. Why? Because I dont have the time to play a second server. So I sit here with my account just playing around with it, occasionally accruining G&R points when I feel like making a jump into the ranks, but I dont ascend becuase I don't have the time to play.

Now I could have easily done so and been living god quickly and easily, but I wasn't going to put my ascneded account on a "permanent vacation", because to me that is cheating. I don't care that others do it, and get away with it. But I will be standing there laughing when they take it away and bring in descension. Because they will all get slaughtered, and I wont be any worse off.

I say bring in the idea above, it will sort the lazy from the strategic, and "men from the boys".

Then I hope that if the top 10 do decide to band together, that you aren't one of the ones moaning when you deacend

i vote for different 'layers' of ascention. i will not explain further as your imagination and logic proccesses understand what i mean. or so mine tell me.

ascention. meh, i just upgrade my self and leave everything else. i log on like every 3 weeks or so.

I've only got 4 posts (atm, on this forum), and i know that, and you have 570+ atm, you should know this.

when you go vac in sgw main your ascended being should also be on vac and vise versa as if your "away" you wont be able to login to either.
