OK, first off, I'm making no secret that I'm at War with the Mouth of the Tok'ra, so if I appear to be doing this to save my skin, I partly am. My message, though, IMO, is no less important.

Mouthy has effectively declared that he will be concentraiting on UP and Covert Levels. He also has dropped to about 2800 in the rankings. This gives him a large upward rank modifier against me and the top players. We, OTOH, have to deal with the downward rank modifier against him.

This is only a specific case, though. Others are likely to be doing the same: building up covert and staying low in the rankings. If we don't find a way to stop this, it's likely to become epidemic like it was before.

I like the fact that sabotage is powerful again. I feel better participating in an all-out war against the Mouth-Oh-I-wish-I-was-a-real-Tok'ra of the Tok'ra: I feel like I have purpose again. However, the old Tok'ra taught us a lesson: be wary of the covert of low ranking players. I'd not like us to forget this lesson so soon.

Now, I don't have any good ideas to deal with this potential problem, but we need to start brainstorming and comming up with some ideas before this gets out of hand.

this is what "I" would do drop in rank farther than him............


in other words i see no possible way to win a covert war battle unless u either

A) More Spies
B) Higher Covert Level
C) Drop in rank
D) Get some allies and gang bang him
E) chicken out and admit defeat

Agreed. It is safe to say that we both could agree that Mouth is not a scary aspect. But his stragtegy is what concerns me.....

We can slow him down, but he will continue to train his spies and be invincable. How do you retailate against an enemy if there is nothing to Sabotage? He has found a loophole and he will use it!

I knew the first thing he would do is sell all and train spies. I was waiting for him as I promised him. I dealt him a big blow! If he is not accepting donations of naq or untrained, he will be sitting low for a while. He has a weak UP and my theft has really screwed him for a few! He lacks the resources to prosper, little troops and little income. @ this point he is spinning his wheels and will eventually grow tired of being robbed of what little he has, esp when will seem like a fortune!

What concers me is this: This whole game could be controlled someday by one of these players. Not controlled as you may think.... They will decide who is number one. They will assasinate any players unfavorable to themselves and their given intrests. They could take payments of troops and Naq to fund themselves and they would be nearly invincable.

We need to incorperate a way to kill spies! This is the only way to stop this monster before it is born.

first off the rank modiffer most likly has a cap on it (if not then make one)
second if he is upgradeing is UP then that means more naq to steal and with no wepons it should not be that hard to keep him at bay
third don't go ticking people off like that.

well lets look at this at a bigger point of view..................u guys bullied him into this and the problem is getting out of hand that u cant control and what do ppl do to bullies they either accept the ass whooping they get everyday or when its too much they well come back with full force to teach u a lesson and i think this is where u getting taught a lesson.


I bet he has a lot of determination...........if he willing to drop in rank sell all his weps and sab the life out of u........u getting it now.

Naw, I'm just a little erked I cant do much to harm him. I could rob him but I'd rather cause him some malacious harm. Some good quality destruction. Robbing him is the only way I can hit him!

SGC_Replicators, I know you were around during the time of the Covert Crisis, and you might want to read up on the old Tok'ra's history in old posts in the Goa'uld section from that time period. Mouth and the old Tok'ra were a pain in the Niktah from all the Goa'uld and an annoyance for the forum's lurkers.

If memory serves, didn't the old Tok'ra declare war on the Replicators?

You are at war with Mouth as well?

The funny part of that is that I had found I was at war with Mouth BEFORE he had that name....

And only one person it could be - Bra'tac.

I do not know whether Mouth ingame is the same as the forum one, but I know I am at war with a Mouth I never actually declared war on.

I know that Mouth is Bra'tac.

He messaged me ingame with some stupid stuff and I simply am going to ignore him.

i remember he sab me and a couple of other ppl but that was when there was that 1 wep/limit thing and plus he only sabe 2-5 weps thats it

What if there was another modifer, working alongside the current one dependant on rank, that was based on army size? Where there are low percentages of trained (ensuring none of the three aspects aren't ignored) units the armies don't function as efficiently and suffer a negative modifier. Would that not help stop big people cowering behind a shield of newbies?

Let's start with Saturnine. I'm sick of your shots at me... really I am. The hit against me was a setback, but nothing that I can't replace. Especially down here. In these ranks, among the 5 million + farms with 0 defense. So don't convince yourself that you have done the Goa'uld community a huge favor in defeating me. You have not, nor will you ever.

Secondly... SGC, I appreciate your ability to see my side of things. Notice the only people complaining are the ones that are dealing with me. If you are all so AFRAID of me, just say so... don't go complaining to Forum about the rules of the game simply because you cannot devise a proper strategy at keeping me down.

Realm Alert, gentlemen. You're all too greedy to see that Forum has already solved your little problem. Somebody sabbing you night and day? Turn it up. Kill their spies next time they go in for a sab. Simple, effective, Problem Solved. That's what it is there for. Try using what is available to you rather than scrambling up the entire sab game again, hm?

No, see, that's just it. I haven't sabotaged either of these guys. Not even once, not even an attempt.

As I said, their insecurities is why this is here. They doubt their ability to keep me down, and fear one day I will be in a better covert position to sabotage them... and they are trying to eliminate the very POSSIBILITY of that happening by crowding up these boards with anti-covert suggestions.

It's funny to see these 'all powerful' Goa'uld run for cover at the mere chance that someday they might be sabbed by me.

Dude what are you talking about? You keep posting almost as if hes causing me problems or something? Like hes taking me down and making my heart "achey breaky" (ha ha I had to through that in)?? He has never sabbed me, He has never attacked me, the way it stands his covert will be the least of my worries for a long, long time. I dont need to turn on my realm alert save for twenty people out of the 7000 people who play this game, ESP Mouth and the number gets smaller daily. I am light years ahead of Mouth in the covert dept.

I am not affraid of you Mouth. We will continue this on the battlefields,
But in the meantime, let us stick to the subject at hand.
