This user's planet is hidden by The Force :P

http://www.stargatewars.com/stats.php?id=38589 (fresh example)

You see a planet with no name in the initial page, but when you spy him... hey! There's no planet there. You can try and conquer the planet though, but I've sold my fleets and my small amount of 'trying' (bought 2 fleets just to check and see what happens) was completely obliterated.

Edit: Thank you blue85 for the spy screenshot. A good friend also made some screenshots for me.

This is what a normal account with several planets with no name: Initial Stats | Recon Stats

If you delete the name and click the renaming button you can have no name for the planet. I believe that is the "bug" that you are talking about, no?

I understand how they unname planets. The bug being reported here is not that. It is when a person has only one planet and no name for that planet, the planet does not show in the spy report

Image

This person had an unnamed planet when I spied on them. This does not seem to affect people that have more than one planet.

Basically by doing this the planet is hidden from the spies. The reports will not show the type, size, or number of defences on the planet. That is the bug and the exploit that is being reported

Anyone successfully attacked the planets? I heard rumours that they can't be attacked successfully either, no matter what the defense. As for a lot of planets with no name, the hardest thing with attacking them is that you're attacking them blind.

these planets dont show in covert logs, nor in the "select planet" dropdown. they are untouchable.

Planets with no name can be attacked I have 4 of them. The ghost planets can not.
Planets are listed on spy log in order of size, the same listing is used in the conquer planet screen, the 3rd blank space down is the 3rd planet on you spy log.
Ghost Planets can not be taken

I call mine all the same because the one I have just swiped has no defences and might be easy to steal back, they may also get confused at to which one was theirs in first place and take the duffer ( my income planet !). The others have 3 Billion defence and punch back nicely. Already destroyed one guy who had 600 Fleets!

the ghost planets exist in stat page and dont exist in spy logs, has anyone bothered to PM someone with a "ghost planet" to see if it appears to them?

Seems like more people are naming their single planet blank, now. More people are reporting this bug. I managed to choose the planet to 'conquer', but the report says that my fleet is completely annihilated. Unfortunately, as you can't spy it, you can't see how much defense it has got.

The ghost planets can be taken. there is an empty space in the dropdown box that can be selected and used to assault the planet. I've taken several of them to date, and am taking more as I see them.

Personally, I consider this bug exploiting, so Im taking them from anyone I see that has them at this point. I suppose I'll either abandon them or sell/give them away.

heh, and I guess Im not the only one to have a duffer income planet to lure people away from my more valuable assets :D

Well, as long as they can be attacked, I'll just wait for the bug fix. Only thing that would really upset me is if someone stole my officer's planet, use this bug and found that I can't take it back.
