Alternate Missions for MS

As many have figured out, there aren't any more planets to find out there. Now what do you do with that mothership? Give it a mission, every mission last for 24 hours, just like exploration, and has a chance for complete failure and you can't choose what it finds.
Looking for friends: Brings back a few Super units with random weapons
Would only bring a few. maybe a base number of 200 and plus or minus 100 random chance. And it'd be random weapons, not nessicarly the best.
Peace Mission: Brings back UU, Naq. I could bring one commodity. How about something like 500-5000 UU if succeeded. 5,000,000 to 500,000,000 naq if suceeded.
Raiding mission: Brings weapons, lifers, and naq. Again one or the other. it could bring 10,000-50,000 basic down to 100-500 of the best weapons. 250-5000 lifers. Or 2,500,000 to 250,000,000 naq.
Bombardment: This was an idea bounced around a while ago to completely obliterate people. Well, I think I may have found a compromise. It takes 12 hours to get there, and 12 hours to get back. Once its there it will do its weapons damage to miners, lifers, and offensive and defensive bases. Again chance it would totally fail. (the hyperspace generator isn't working properly, someone sabotaged the weapons) If the opponent has a mothership in orbit, it will counter-attack the attacking ship with full force, recieving no damage.
Planet Defense: Tired of taking that planet only to have it retaken, and all your mothership does it sit around and watch. Well, here's the deal. For 24 hours your ship will defend one of your planets. The ship doesn't have to be recharged (as in after 24 from the last attack) to defend.

Those maximum numbers are way too high.. 5k uu / sveral hundred millions naq / lifers is quite valuable and shouldn't be available to be obtained by mothership exploration, it's like, raiding for free.. If this idea is to think further I think those numbers will need to be nerfed..

Damaging miners and lifers? I don't think so...
That suggestion needs a little rethinking

I like this idea. In my opinion the amounts are about right. Let's be honest, 500mil isn't that big of a find anymore. That coupled with the fact that its at the top end of the spectrum makes it a pretty fair range.

It's not worth alot anymore indeed, but getting it freely

A day M/Sless for the possibility of gaining such ressources doesn't seem right

Well i really like the idea of setting the mothership to protect X planet. So the mothership does not get involved in anything ells for the 24 hours other than add its defence to a planet. So i X planet is attacked and the mothership is set to be defending it then the mothership adds damage to the enemy fleets?
Not a bad idea that 1

I really like it.

sure that may be a little too much resources for 1 day m/sless, IF the % chance to suceed was high like 80% or so, but if %chance to suceed was 10 or maybe 5 the numbers could def go a little higher.
send the ms out to search for naq, maybe you have a (10%chance) to find a certain % of your income per day, so weak people dont have good chance to find 200million naq, and strong people dont have good chance to find 50 thousand naq. (like your ms has a small chance to find an amount of naq, based on how much naq you spend in (upgrading the mothership sensors??)
ps. ms sensors could be an upgrade in the ms page, more levels you put in it the better chance you find things, like naq, or even planets.
ps. since all of your planets are in your galaxy cant you set your ms to protect ALL of your planets for a full 24hours ( cant help you in defending your home planet since its busy scanning for enemies and/or orbiting the planets. )
1 more idea, that could be good to use just after you steal a planet from someone, you automatically set it for 24hour planet defending mission, so if the person comes back to steal it again, they will run into your ms guarding it.

then why not add a cost for ms exploring...say a certain number of naq for payment for exploring, this way if you send ms and gets uu, naq or weps then it wouldnt be free raid...as a bonus it can bring a planet if your really lucky

well it has potentials i think forum could srt out just how much you will get from it
and just a little more finetuning to make it not to strong and it could be good
also no gurting miners and lifers

I agree. With some finetuning it could add a fun new dimension to the MS.

I was thinking success rate could be 30-40%. And getting the huge numbers and small number would be chance. It'd be like rolling 5 D10 dice, and multiply the result by 100. That way its very unlikly that you will get 5,000 units.
I'm trying to shy away from adding to more than one area. So sensors might be a bit much, for this addition.
BTW this would only really benefit the mid range players. They have nothing to lose by sending out their fleets for a boost. While older player probably want ot keep their ships home.
Of course this wouldn't work for any Multple mothership idea.

I like the ideas, gives something new to the MS.
"Raiding Missions" or something similar could damage your MS, like it went through a battle.

yep, damaging, or killing lifers would definitly be 1 more way to kill someones account that we dont need. plus why kill lifers (that are underground in mines far below the surface) when others on surface dont die.

ok this idea is really good but some things needs more thinking like the numbers, and the little things like upgrades for this type of stuff and the time it take to send your mothership out . damage to the mothership is ok but not to much.
it is a great idea and i love it but would like to see what otherthings this would lead to.
oo and one more idea have in the spying part a button to steal plans for upgrades, like for the mothership so that could upgrade ur weapons or defences hyperdrive and so forth
