Drawback to fleets

I have been thinking with the increased use of fleets as a method to make in-game resources, make real cash (or so one player claims) and to generally annoy many people I thought I would make a suggestion regarding fleets.
As they stand the fleets only take damage if the planet they are attacking has a higher defence and even then only 10% damage is done.
I think there should be some kind of drawback other than this as it is not enough not compared to what happens to say Anti Covert agents when there is a defence or to attack weapons that can be sabotaged..
What does everyone else think on this?

your fleets take damage like regular weapons.
i massed Crimsonfrost last night, and destroyed all my fleets in the process >.<

I think that fleets should either be sabable or they are involved in defending process so they can be destroyed in massing. One or the other.

I agree some way to damage then other than when the person attacks. If not then you've effectively given a superweapon to someone with no way of stopping it.

Indeed but what if say for example someone never attacks like that but just uses their fleets for planet theft.......unlike attack weapons they cannot be sabotaged

Iv posted in a similare thead about this today.
My planet was stolen by a noob with nothing on his account exept some fleets. He sold the planet sharpish and i attacked him with blind furry.
He had nothing for me to hurt accept his fleets and they are invinsible by every thing exept my planets defence weapons.
This is wrong and the fleet should not me "magicly" protected from all damage that is not caused by planet defense systems? Surly my mothership can blow some of the small fleets up. Maybe they can be sabed?
But i do want the "magic" force field around fleets removed please!

we do need a way to kill anti covert, but thats another topic for discussion.
Fleets should be destroyable. and motherships (in my opinion) should be
specificly targetable. all military stats should.
another thing to do with fleets would like to see is even when u have 10 planets, u should be able to attack planets. not for them, but to take out defence.

Making everything destroyable might be a little too much
