My suggestion is not simple and proly doesnt make sense to more inteligent people

My idea is simple. Like on tele, already ascended people can help others ascend.

They need to be ascended of coarse, and i dont mean they can then help ascend a prior to prophet, just the first time to get to prior.

It would cost 10k G&R.. so it wont be abused.

All it will do, is allow them to see the ascension panel nd ascend when they have the requirements met, but without needing the 1k glory for thereselves.

It wont be abused coz even at 5/turn it would take like 1month to get 10k

this would be good yeah just probably hard to made...

not sure I like it.

helping someone ascend, and telling them how to ascend are 2 different things.

besides - how would the person elect to Ascend once they know they have the correct amounts?? I think the idea needs further clarification and expansion.

Well this is clarification

Using the "Help Them To Ascend" option will be the same as them getting 1k g&r.

no..hes got a good idea..maybe not quite as radical as what hes suggesting..but what if..you had an officer with 500 G&R points..why not allow a commander to send them the remaining 500?

actualy 500 is to much..id say..let them get to 700 or sumting higher and then uhave it..allow the commander to send the last 300. but only for the first level of ascention..that would be a good idea...

or have the ability to send them G&R points..but obviously 200 limit tops no more no less...sumting like that would be greatly useful...and would be more realistic in the context of stargate..but..as in the context there should be a inherent risk with it....i dunno...a 15% chance of the points not being received because 'the other' stopped the process...

Ascended beings are unable to meddle in the affairs of those on the physical plain of existance, regardless of there willingness to do so. Ascension is a path that the individual takes alone. Help would only come in the form of the knowledge on how to ascend.

well.then thats even more interesting..u can scrap the idea..and allow people to choose to allow sumone to ascend! yes! so.there not helping..there 'giving them the knowledge' allowing them to use the G&R points to ascend! each commander can help 1 officer..i dunno..a month ascend..by pressing a big button in their command base saying "Give knowledge to officer" then there is one of those descending list thingies where you can chose the officer..who has..erm..the day to accept..or the chance goes..

then this will also make ascention more selective..because eventually there are gonna be heaps in there...and ascention in main..wont be as..cool...infact its already lost some of its appeal..

ascending is easy to easy if you ask me

and in context of the stargate univers it would be a good idea..your just upset because u had to work hard and earn it, and u want to be spoilt because something new could come alog and make it easier and you couldnt have it boohooo...it wont go through anyway..and we both know it..cos of people such as urself moaning...

dont try and lecture me about the best of the best...this game is far from that now...now its all about the smartest or luckyest trades and the size of your wallets or ally list, no matter what u come back at me with..thats the truth and it cannot be denied, no matter the strength of your counter...

good sir you dont even need to be in the top 1000 anymore to get glory points

its already been said but

you would have to be completely rubbish to not be able to get into that rank and you dont deserve to be ascended

Yes... that doesnt include orlin building a huge weapon for the planet.. for the ORI.. or how about OMA interfering in daniel dying twice, to talk to him, and helping loads of people ascend...


Dusty your point sucks Because it isnt making someone ascend, its helping them along the way just like you said.. allowing them the ascension panel..

And to w/e said ascension is easy.. ITS NOT. Not to completly new players, it takes a long time to get into top1000.

ehm. I disagree. I was new and i got into top 1000 within a month of playing. (I should add no alliance help, and my co who was my rl friend helped me in the beginning but not with generous gifts, only with a 2-3 mil income per turn.)

It is easy. Most people are just too stupid and don't get how the mechanics of the game work. I see people with 20k attackers, 60k defenders and 5k miners. Well if they get massed and whine that it takes ages to rebuild, i say tough luck, get a better strategy and get more friggin miners, n00blets. How do you want to operate war machinery without an economy?

IDK, yet I watch discovery and I see machines building machins.. missles guiding themselves to targets... all the guy does is rpess a button and everything happens..

no..hidden.u missed the main point of my second sugestion...as did the others..i suggested that the ONLY way to ascend was to have sumone who is currently ascended to allow you to begin the path...

that would make it even harder to ascend, because you wouldnt have the immediate option to ascend.. you would have to get the approval of sumone who is already ascended (and ofcourse even they would be limited to how many the can 'help' per month) and have then ud still have to have the 1000 G&R points needed...

if i didnt make that clear wen i first said it..i apologize for the misunderstanding..

but then u might still think its a bad idea..
