lose all your fleets?

It seems stupid that no matter how big your fleet strength, if it gets beaten by 1 point (for example under the random ruling) you lose your entire fleet.
I had a planet defended against my attack which beat my attack by 10 mill def ansd I lost everything.
That was at a cost of over 20 bill naq invested in my fleets.
Any chance of an explaination admin?

u could hab been randomly put below the 10% of planet defenses?...i hab no clue

ya, you would think that your fleets would realise they were being slaughtered and run away, like your armies. seriously, if your army gets pwnd, they run away, why not fleets to?

lol... i once reconded a planet with 36mil defence... so i built a 40mil fleet ... then i failed... this stuff happens...

your fleets don't get destroyed unless you have been refusing to repair them. I attack planets multiple times to weaken it's defense. It's a weapon, it doesn't break the first time it meets resistance. Just repair your fleet and attack the planet again. You can only take a planet once a day, you can attack planets as long as you want, as long as you have the turns

yes i currenlt massed a planets defence and yes i didnt lose my fleets and the planets defence bet my fleets strentgh by over 150mil and i still didnt los my fleets and i repaired my fleets every 3rd strike, u must have like a 10mil fleet strentgh then 2 lose that then.... lol

lol, the amount the fleets take dmg is proportional to the amount you are below the other blokes fleets. IN OTHER WORD DONT HIT A 45 B PLANET WITH 5 B FLEET.
and repair the damn thing every time.
