Agree - although this has been suggested before it is now something that is winding me up as I seem to spend a lot of time dismissing officers from 359 Company bvecause their commander joined.
At the very least, alliance leaders/2nds should have a tick box in teh alliance management that, dependent on whether selected/unselected, allows officers to join with their commander - or doesn't.
I hereby designate this as the OFFICIAL thread for this topic (to be added to Common Suggestions).

Simply put I wonder if there's some nasty technical reason behind this feature, since it seems much easier and much more logical to just leave officers where they're at - so is there a reason it was made so that officers follow their commander

Probably as a show of loyalty to follow their commander wherever they go. But the reality is in most cases it is not wanted by either the officer or the alliance.

Indeed, is it still like that? I remember, it was so annoying to always end up in Ancient Brethren when my commander was ascending. Or leaves and rejoins for some reason.
lol and poor Deity had to start kicking 25 people out.

I also 100% agree. I don't have a comm because of the fact that i am forced to follow them. It does annoy people greatly.

the solution is to get a CO that will stick with his alliance

It is not often I find myself agreeing with hidden - but I must do so here - most of us to not have the gift of foresight to see what a commander will do in the future.
I can't imagine it will take a lot of coding to implement this, it is something that has been asked for many times, and there is no downside - so I would liek to see it introduced.
