For the not-so-obvious people's names (Apophis, Klorel, etc.) where did you get your name/how did you come up with it?

My name is actually a name for a Tok'ra in a story where O'Neill was taken over by a Tok'ra named "Aetom" against his will, however it should be noted that Aetom only killed Montu, and accessed the Tok'ra base, to paint the planet for destruction when his Ha'tak showed up.

EDIT: If you have an egyptian/other kind of 'back-name' name, go ahead and write about the background of the name you have.

Mine is icelandic, means gutz / courage. I liked Kjarkur coz it's a cool name for well, like warships lol. Also fits in a wargame.

I've read this story loong time ago... and is my the most favorite Tok'ra fanfic...

My name is original.

Teal - 'strong' in goa'uld.

Many Jaffa men used 'C' as end of their names, while female used 'auc' So I took 'Teal' + 'auc' which made 'Teal'auc'.

My name is female equivalent of 'strong'.



PS: And yes. I am the Tok'ra.

I like the name: Aetom, but I don't like it's reference to the Tok'ra.

Mine is from the ancient egyptian god Osiris whow as lord of the underworld and of life and death...I only use teh show figure cause shes a hottie

Acathla- ancient demon from buffy who's first breath would swallow the world intoa hell dimension he was slain by an worthy knight who plunged his sword into the demons chest before he could take his first breath in this world. He was then transformed into stone until he was awakened again only to be destroyed by Buffy as the portal was sealed by the blood of another hero

My name is pretty much the result of random searches while looking for a new name, sounded suitable, so I went with it.

I miss those shows...

they were good

weird story actually my aunt cut my hair and it kinda turned out to be a mullet so a few of my freinds called me mulletman and the name kinda stuck


oh and chainers from magic the gathering(a card game) hes a dementia sommoner( i know i speeled that wrong) and he creats these grotesgue creatures called nightmares for the cabal(a dark and evil organization)


just thought its would be a cool sytem lord name

Well my name! i got it from two places...i am currently writing my own book, in which the bad guy is called Semper...(40k words into it..not even into the main adventure yet! should be around 200-250k wen finished.. )

Semper is actually the latin word for always...because you can never get rid of me...lol...(i wish..) and i think latin is cool..if it wasnt semper my name would be 'solus' (latin for alone/solo) or 'malum' (latin for evil) at one point i think i was considering calling myself 'sum semper malum' (rought translates to i am always evil)

i also considered ontos (greek for being) and Telos (greek for meaning/purpose or end). But i decided id save them for chaos wars wen i can be botherd to change my name ( i think they sound more like ancient names)

so quite simple really...(BTW buck has a mention in my book...)
