When you are in vacation mode (vm) it says you are on the cusp of a black hole.
Do you remember the SG-1 Episode where they opened the gate to a planet that was being sucked into a black hole and they couldn't get the gate shut again because the black hole effect was coming through the worm-hole? Then Jack and Teal'c had to go and put a bomb by the gate and blow something up so that everything was fixed. Well, during the time they were "near" the black hole time nearly stopped for them 1 hour in the mountain, was 4 days (or something like that) outside the mountain. Also, the to'kra were trying to contact them during that time and couldn't.
This is what happens when you go on vacation. Time stops for you, you cannot affect other realms, and they cannot afect you.
If you want to gain Naquadah and turns while you are gone, you need to buy suporter status (ss), or protected planets treaty (ppt) ($20, and $10 USD). Instructions/links for those should e pretty easy to find on your command center page.
I hope this helped.
Regards,
Lady Alex

Almighty Forum has declared it, and it is so.
(also, having to pay for ppt helps keep the servers free of adds)
