Ascension question

If you are ascended, change to an unascended race, when you ascend again, you find back your ascended path/race right?

yes with a 5% bonus for each stat
but why would you change to an unascended race

Because prior level is crappy
lol... but I thought it in Living God level, to become one of best Goaulds ingame

when you change to a non ascended race
then when you ascend again you once again become a prior with only 5% to each
and what is something with your experience asking these questions
