planet stealers (ppl with no account except for a lot of fleets) are still at it despite the fact the new improvments r in. the only way to stop them is to be able to mass their mothership as a direct command and sending the mothership away should not be a defense for them

It could be made so that raiding was tied to the MS.
If your MS is in dock it will fight of a raid attempt but if send it out to search for other planets you risk being raided.
Also, the MS should link up the defense of your planets as if I could actually command my ship it would patrol my region of space and not either sit in dock or be out looking for planets.
But if your MS is in a different region other than the home world then it is not calculated in the battle because it is not there to battle just like sending it away to look for planets.

This would also make it more interesting as far as giving people a real reason to have a nice MS and build one up instead of staying low ranked to try to raid using a strike action.

I like the idea but the part i'm not sure about is the raiding part. It should be left as it is.

We could have two motherships. One for defence of our planets and one for attacking people for their planets and naqs hits.

I dont think we can stop planet raiders but they can be slowed, the admin could make it that the install cost of the fleets grows each time, instead of a fixed price, (( this would cost Planet Raiders 100's of billions of naq, )) he could limit the number of fleets you can have at each ascention level, or how about, when you steal a planet, it cannot be sent out to search for planets, you cant go on PPT, VAC either, and for the next 24 hours your MS takes 500% more damage when attacked.

Also if a planets Defence is say 10 times the MS fleet strength, if its a big enough account funding the PR then they will just sab the defence away, how about if the planets Defence is 5/10/15 times higher than the MS fleet stenght, then it takes 25/50/100% total damage, costing them a fortune, as its clear that quite a few of these guys are using multi accounts, theres no other way they can replace 5000 fleets in the blink of an eye.

the problem about the planet stealers is that they will take your planet and then send their mothership away so you can't mass their fleets. I think you shouldn't be able to send your ship out right after you stole a planet. You should have to wait for 24 hours. This way people would at least have a chance to retaliate. At the moment there is no way to hurt those accounts who have nothing but fleets, because their ships are never there.

edit: oh and maybe you shouldn't be able to install stuff on your mothership while it is out exploring. It doesn't really make sense you're able to do that and it makes it even easier for planet stealers to rebuild...

2 very good ideas

also ill add something else to that

limit the number of fleets and fleet capacity you can have to your wepaon and shields and their capacity to stop people form just getting fleets like i am :-D

Actually thats a good idea, about the limiting, you can only have 50% of your total Defence/Attack in Fleets

So if you have 500 Attack Weapons and 400 Defence Weapsons You can only have 200 Fleet strength, always you the lower number, that means that them planet raiders would have to spend a fortune on there MS, and if they made it that it couldnt be sent out after an attack, or stuff added to it while its out, its going to become a major hassle for them.

Maybe admin should look into some of these ideas.

I like the idea about limiting the fleets you can have, but I see a problem here: planet stealers could build up a strike, then max out their fleets and sell off their strike again... so if it was limited it should be that your fleet strength can only match 50% of your current strike action (about the same way the planets work).

guys, isn't the fact that planets give such large bonuses the entire reason that they are so easy to steal? I mean, when it was released the admin made specific reference to that:

"This will still allow a 5x or 500% increase with 10 of the same planets, which is very significant, but it means quite an investment to get it, and defence to keep it....if you can. This applies only to covert/attack and defence planets.
Planets can still be taken a lot easier than natural att/def/cov, so the balance has to be carefully thought out, else you lose everything. Remember, planets are not meant to be kept forever."

So I honestly don't see what you're whining about. Losing planets is all part of the game, and if you can't deal with it then don't play. Planets are supposed to introduce some challange into keeping your rank.

reality check almost anyone in the game couls just gather some supplys and ake the planets of people ranked in the top page and nothing can stop them

i dont think thats what forum meant by easy

the update that allows to mass motherships was clearly meant to make it harder for planet stealers (accounts that don't have anything but a fleet) and to give people a chance to retaliate. The update is great, but it doesn't work as long as you can't mass fleets because their mothership is never there.

Planets are expensive to defend and its not easy to keep them. I have no problem with that but I don't think it's fair that you can't do anything to planet stealers. The ideas posted above won't hurt anyone who has a "normal" account, it would only make it harder for people who have those very lame planet stealing accounts. I suppose a lot of them are multies anyway, so why make it so easy for them?
