Multi behaviour

He nicked a planet. It vanished. I asked for it back, or at least to know where it was. He ignored me, so I nuked him. (I'm top 500...)

He then messaged me with "ha ha, I have nothing for you to destroy" and then nicked/lost another planet.

His mothership had nothing after my attack, so he must have another account to rebuilt it so quickly.

Any ideas?

umm, maybe - and this is just a theory - he had a....bank! :O. lol, the fact that he steals planets and then rebuilds when you mass him is no proof of any kind that he is a cheater.

no hidden, this is almost as bad as someone accusing someone with a low army size and a high income of cheating when they most likely have a commander income boost.

It'd have to be a pretty impressive bank to build a mothership's defences that quickly. He also doesn't have a commander, and watching his naq over a few turns shows it doesn't go up very quickly, so there has to be a certain curiousity as to how he can build so quickly without help.

Although I realise that there are a lot of young/naive/stoopid or possibly insane players, I'd have thought that simple common sense would mean a high ranking player who attacked a low ranking one wouldn't result in the low ranking one going "I've got nothing to be destroyed" followed by them immediately nicking another planet. It's tempting fate.

I agree with one of the suggestions made in the game improvements forum about the whole MS logic, it's very open to being abused.

I think in this case he is either a multi, or more likely sells planets and uses the income to quickly rebuilt his ship. That seems a little illogical to me though, as surely he's just taking one step forward every time he's knocked back one, and making enemies in the process?

yes and?? that is one way to advance in the game. just because he has a low rank does NOT mean he is a noob - he may well be a raider and from the way you have described it he is almost certainly a planet thief. There are plenty of people like that and i think its a very smart way to make a living - especially if he has someone he can send his money to for safekeeping in anticipation of the day he gets enough resources stored up to be self-sufficient. And to have a large enough bank to repair a mothership isnt that hard - there are plenty of people i know who have banks that are damn near impossible to fill

Maybe he used the market! 3 billion naq can do quite a bit to repair a mothership.
