I have been wondering what it would be like if there was a stargate atlantis wars. where you could be the wraith, the tauri, and maybe the ancients, and some other race. i think it would be kinda cool. what about you?

Yes I think new races and new types of weapons would be awesome like they would still have tauri except there would be Geniiand wraith and some other race.did you vote no for you own topic?if it wasnt you then why dont you vote yes

I think it would be more stress for forum... but if we have enough people buying ss and ppt and it's his fulltime job, and he wants to make that it would be cool.

I voted yes, but now is not the time!!

Hopefully by the end of this next season, we will have enough races to add to it, and sucessfully make a good atlantis server!

If a wraith (or any other non-Lantian race) earns enough glory and reputation, they can make their way into the Ida and milkyway galaxies, but must stay permanentely?

The lantians, however could criss-cross at will, but due to the massive power involved, it would be more penalizing than changing races!

Yes good idea I was thinking on something like that myself.

The Atlantis team would not be known as the Tauri because that is the Goa'uld term for Earth. The races will probily be Atlantis (Humans), The Wraith, The Anciants, and another race that we will meet later in the sieris (spelling?).

I think we would be called Tauri since that is our ancient name and on the show it started showing patches with Tauri on them and we started calling ourselves Tauri because it is the original origin for humans so to most races we are known as Tauri so why wouldnt we keep the name.

the weapons for the tauri could be the same as on the one we are currently playing, except, instead of x-302's, we could have puddle jumpers. and (if you will read my post on the thread, x-302's) if the admin decide to do it, have motherships on the game. on the episode on stargate atlantis, before i sleep, where the alternate reality wier goes back in time to when the ancients are still in atlantis and where it is showing their "radar" where the ancient's ships are fighting the wraith. those ships could be incorperated into the game, along with wraith hive ships, and maybe some other races vehicles that we may see on season 2 (if any) if not the ancient ships, then something like the dedalus being the mothership. i am full of ideas, admin if u need me, just email me!

I'd love for this to go ahead, even though it probabaly won't due to the amount of time (I assume) SGQ already takes up of Forums time.

However, if it were to go ahead, here's a few suggestions:
Well, right now we only really have 3 (possibly 4 races that could be of use).
Lantians/Ancients, Wraith, Humans and Genii.
SGW isn't really a war oriented game, so I'd suggest that on SG:AW, once you chose to become part of a race, you are no longer allowed to attack people of your race, and instead have to concentrate on others.
Now, I think less races would be good, if we had three (hopefully balanced) races, and we couldn't attack our own, there would be much more cause for war.
It would actually make it worth forming race ceasefires and alliances.
It would bring much needed diplomacy, and, at the same time violence that should be present in war games.
I think the weapons, UP and Spy should remain as they are, as they work well.
But the current relations should be removed and overhauled.
Allowing only single race alliances, and 'factions' to form in races.
Which could cause for conflicting views (remember they wouldn't be able to atatck each other) which would force diplomacy into action.
So, natuarally game players would have to vote in people who they would feel they could put their trust into for leading the race and/or facitons.
Also, the forum would need to play a large role in it as clear discussions woiuld be needed etc.

That's all I got right now. not sure if anyone will actually read through all that, but yeah.
Moral?
The game should be more about diplomacy and co-operation and war (is that possible)?

nice, i like your idea. i think that having single race alliances would be a good idea. it would be more like the show's. i mean, on stargate sg1 you dont see the goa'uld and tauri teaming up, and certainly not the replicators and asgard teaming up. so single race alliances would be a good step toward the real thing.

Weston! you have changed my mind. I wold love to play on the atlantis server... I am already acting as a diplomat for the AK alliance. Having a game that required more of that would be great!

I also agree with the person who said "this is not the time" we can wait till next season is over, and see where that takes us.

remember that teyla's people do hav lots of tech, they just hide t from the wraith so that the wraith dont come and bombard there civilization so they hide it. so wut yall think?

edit: or you could just hav ancients and wraith and giv anceits the spy and defence bonus, then giv wraith the attack and money thing bonus....it might be a little unbalanced but id like just 2 races

yeah, cause, in the show, there are really only two races that really have the technology to rival each other. good idea. it would slim down on how much the server would have to work if it was implimented.
