Planetary Defense

In light of all the posts in Colosseum regarding "Planet Thieves", etc.

I propose these two options:

1. Allow MS assistance in defending planets. If these planets were in the same galaxy as your home world, the MS would be able to get there on time. This would prevent folks from just building fleets and having no defense, or strike power in their MS.

OR

2. Lower the cost of planetary defenses to match the cost of fleets. Would also have to set it up to where 1 Fleet = 1 Defense facility. Makes for a better chance of keeping planets, and adds to the (I can't believe I am going to write this) realism :P of the game. Planets just don't go flying around the galaxy being dragged by MS's...do they???


One last thing, how difficult would it be to disallow UPGRADING MS while it is out??? Would be terribly difficult for a person to build up their fleets while they are running from the folks that invest in their accounts.

i like the idea of cost of defence weapons lowering but not 1def=1fleet as currently defence is great then fleet ( only ascended fleets to go on not normal)

I strongly agree defences should be cheaper to buy. This would discourage many planet thieves aka multies.

oh, and seems like a good possibility, but doesn't different fleet types exist? if so, what would be the planet defense version of that? having better defenses on some planets would be unbalanced... it would make ascended's planets too powerful

we have to get some privaleges. after all if i made it to living good and a player is not i should get more then him in way fo protection

I'm not ascended - but I think yes ascended people should have more power on than, and be able to keep the planets would be good also ^^.

One thing tho, planets defence must be reset or at least halved when a planet is taken over: the battle to take it destroyed many of the installed defence mecanisms. And that would prevent people with 10k+ fleets to take a planet we builded defence on for 2 weeks and never be able to take it back...

Dont see the point, it would be alot of wasted naq. Why not just increase the power per defence. e.g. by 33% a 3bill defence is now 4bill... for example...

Or, take away the option of massing planet defences


P.s. Not picking on ya Robe, just using ur quotes cause it was easier after using the first one.
