NOOB QUESTION - ATACK/DEFENCE LOSSES

correct me if Im wrong but didnt you use to not take any def damages oif your def was more than double their strike?
If this is still the case, does it not happen with planets or are they now set up to make iteasier for planet stealers to mass down and take?

I think if your defence is 5 times the attackers strike you get "managed to inflict devastating damage" only then do you not suffer any losses or repairs mate i think the same is true with planets

seems a bit harsh that you can plow billions into a planet only to have it massed and stolen for only a few billion outlay.

i thought planets was 10% to no damage/total fleet destruction...

ok so im guesing it was 5x. I've never heard of this and ive been playing for about 3 years or so.
