PPT safetynet

There is a chance that when someone is relying on PPT, extraneous circumstances will prevent them capatalising on it just before it ends. Then when it does run out, all their naq-on-hand is just sitting there asking to be taken.

Therefore I propose a safety net. If, when PPT is about to end, your naq-on-hand is greater than your bank max capacity (regardless of actual naq-in-bank) then your realm goes into stasis (and the\us stops generating naquadah and units) and you remain in PPT. As soon as naq-on-hand is reduced below bank max capacity, the PPT expires and the stasis ends.

Of course there would have to be a maximum limit. Perhaps PPT stasis would automatically run out after five days, and leave you to the vultures.

This is intended to protect against a short term interruption - eg ISP going down, computer break down or virus infection, called away for family emergency, stuck in traffic, or merely overslept. It wont protect against a major calamity such as being admitted to hospital, but if that is the case then I think your SGW account is the least of your concerns.

firstly, no...

this would make people have 7 days worth of ppt for the cost of 2.

secondly, NO...

everyone who is already complaining about people being on PPT too much will kill this idea.

thirdly, NO!

you want to reduce risk? play a differant game... this game is about taking risk.

No - and, why?

You know you have a certain amount of time whilst in ppt - so it is your responsibility to ensure that you have banked/used the naq before ppt runs out - if you don't - tough luck!

firstly

no

watch stargate sg-1 if your on the protected planets trety you cant be attacked so then logicly if you get taken off it its effects disappear so logicly you could be attacked

secondly

yes

it would mean more ppl would get it so sgw would get more money so we would get more updates

so if the extra money would go to something usful i will say yes if it doesnt i will say no

No.
No no no.

Why do people keep asking for more PPT? We actually need less PPT, preferably even no PPT. But that would effectively shut off the money flow. So, the PPT we have now is a necessary evil, but we certainly don't need more of it.

In case someone missed the point....NO!!!

If you've got the money to throw $10 dollars at the game, chances are, you have the resources to get online somewhere else if you're computer dies/ISP dies to make sure you don't lose it! Otherwise - $h|* happens!

I think, and I dont know if this is just me or not, but we need to drag this man out into the street, beat him with some billy clubs and then divy up whatever units and attack turns he has...
